At Brin, we strive to be a sustainable brand that wants to grow with the planet.
Our aim is to make a difference by reducing the amount of plastic that ends up in our oceans each year. It is estimated that around 8 million metric tons of plastic enters the oceans every year, which is equivalent to a garbage truck full of plastic dumping into the ocean every minute! This has devastating consequences for marine life, as well as humans who depend on the oceans for their livelihoods.
In order to make a lasting impact, we need to address the root causes of ocean plastic pollution. That's why our project focuses on working with communities in India where much of the world's Ocean plastic originates. We work with Green Worms Waste Management because they share our commitment to sustainability and have an innovative approach to waste management that creates jobs and improves quality of life in communities with limited resources.
We dedicate 3% of each sale to ocean clean-ups in India. This removes 0.235 kilos of plastic from the ocean. In other words, for every toothbrush purchase, we commit to clean approximately 6 bottles from the ocean.
